Consistent trotter Sods Law made good use of a lovely run in transit to trot to a deserved harness racing victory at Addington last night.
Driver James Geddes pushed the go button early off the mobile 1980m and easily found the lead only to hand up soon after to Phoebe Onyx and Tim Williams.
They stayed there until the home turn when Sods Law got to the middle of the track and put the race beyond doubt holding off a fast finishing race favourite Kahress and Robbie Holmes to win comfortably by 3/4 length at the line.
“He’s been hitting the line quite well lately and is a bit tougher now,” Geddes said after the race
“The race worked out well for him and he couldn’t have got a better run really.”
Sods Law (Muscle Mass – Galleons Tribute) ran the 1980m mobile in a 2-01.9 mile rate with a last 800m in 58.2 seconds.
Later in the night driver John Morrison reached the 200 win driving milestone aboard the Dean Taylor trained Tiger Taylor.
The speedy Art MajorĀ filly capitalized on a good trailing run to zip up the passing lane to win by 3/4 length, beating Evangalist and driver John Dunn.
Tiger Taylor Ā paced the 1980m mobile in a fast mile rate of 1-57.6 with a last 800m in 57.5 and last 400m in 28.3 seconds.
