Down Under Winners from North America – 13th September

Bonny Bettor’s Delight mare Delightful Catherine NZ notched her fourth harness racing win from her last five tries in a $39,000 Open at Yonkers Raceway, New York on Thursday (Sep 8).

After rolling to the front at the halfway point, the five-year-old staved off all challengers to score in 1:51.6.

It was her 17^th lifetime success and boosted her earnings to $US270,934.

Another NZ bred daughter of Bettor’s Delight in Nikasa went wire-to-wire in a $20,000 Open at Harrington Raceway, Delaware in 1:54.8 on a sloppy track. She has now won four races this year.

All U Need Is Faith NZ, a seven-year-old gelding by Art Major, kept his unbeaten record at Plainridge Park, Massachusetts in tact with a front-end performance in a $20,000 Open in 1:52.2.

Meanwhile, the Muscle Hill gelding All American NZ made it four straight and nine wins from 15 starts this year when he captured an Open Handicap Trot in 1:55.8 at Running Aces in Minnesota.

A total of four ‘down under’ bred pacers clocked 1:50 or better in North America this week. They are Let It Ride NZ (1:49.6), No Win No Feed (1:49.8), Pat McGarry (1:49.8) and Blazen River NZ (1:50).
