Down Under Winners from North America – 19th March

The New Zealand-bred Mach Three mare Swedish Starlet led in an ANZAC trifecta at Saratoga Raceway on Tuesday (March 12).  She led from end-to-end in 1:56.4, defeating Fond Memories and Goldies A Delight to notch her fourth harness racing win from five starts at the track this year. 

SWEDISH STARLET REPLAY

Artatac, a NSW bred son of Art Major, hoisted a fresh lifetime mark of 1:48.8 leading throughout in a $34,000 Open at Miami Valley Raceway on Thursday (March 14). The gelding carved out fractions of 26.2, 28, 26.4 and 28.2. 

Former NSW pacer Lip Reader made it two wins from three starts on American soil when he blitzed his rivals in the $14,000 Open at Buffalo Raceway on Saturday night (March 16). The Sportswriter gelding won by 2-3/4 lengths in a career-best 1:54. 

Jilliby Dynamite, a Victorian bred six-year-old gelding by Captaintreacherous, took out a $30,000 first leg of the New Holland Pacing Series at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday. After leading from the outside post, the gelding handed up and then roared home to win in 1:53.2. 

Jilliby Dynamite has won 19 of his 63 career starts for earnings of $208,754.
