Down Under Winners from North America – 22nd November

Colossal Stride, a NSW bred harness racing son of Bettor’s Delight and former champion racemare Tailamade Lombo, hoisted the fastest mile of the day at 1:51.8 at Plainridge Park, Massachusetts on Monday (November 14).

COLLOSSAL STRIDE REPLAY

Competing in a $25,000 top-end conditioned pace, the gelding tipped off live cover rounding the home turn and marched away to score by 1-3/4 lengths.

It was his fourth success for the year.

The following day at Plainridge Park, No Win No Feed (A Rocknroll Dance), having her first starts since her Breeders Crown placing, toyed with a small but select field of mares in a $30,000 Open Handicap.

The A Rocknroll Dance daughter led most of the way and coasted home under a hold by three lengths in 1:52.8.

No Win No Feed has won 11 races and a hefty $234373 in stake earnings this year.

The Art Major mares Majorca NZ and Slick Artist emerged successful at Dover Downs, Delaware and The Meadows, Pennsylvania, respectively. Majorca led throughout in 1:53 in a $26,000 Mares Open Handicap, while Slick Artist grabbed a last-stride win in 1:53.4 in a $19,300 race.

Slick Artist’s win spiked her lifetime earnings to $US322,540.

Former En Zedder Let It Ride captured his second straight $25,000 Open at Dayton Raceway, Ohio on Saturday (November 19), stopping the teletimer in 1:50.4 in the frigid temperatures.

The 10-year-old Rock N Roll Heaven gelding has posted 11 wins this season for $228,676.

The Art Major gelding All U Need Is Faith NZ overcame the outside gate to lead home a Kiwi trifecta in 1:53.8 in the $16,000 Open at Saratoga Raceway, New York on Saturday night (November 19).Crocket’s Cullen and Optical Illusion filled the placings.
