VENTURESOME ARDEN REPLAY

After settling midfield, the four-year-old gelding speared to the top on the final bend and won by two lengths over What’s Stanley Got in 1:51.2. It was his seventh win from 30 starts and lifted his stake tally to $US84,915.

Two Australian bred horses in Rocknroll Runa and What’s Stanley Got qualified for the $457,000 Borgata Final to be run on Monday (April 22), while a pair of Kiwis in Coachella and Delightful Catherine and the Australian mare Doug’s Babe qualified for the $276,200 Blue Chip Matchmaker Series Final on the same night.

Could Be Good, a NZ bred daughter of Well Said, made it four wins from 10 starts this year when she scored a resounding 2-1/2 length victory in 1:55.4 at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday (April 17). She has now banked $US362,233.

Former En Zedder Major League posted her 39th lifetime success when she led throughout in 1:57.4 on a sloppy track at Western Fair Raceway on Wednesday. The win lifted her bankroll to beyond $380,000.

Lip Reader (Sportswriter), a NSW bred nine-year-old, came from absolute last to post his second straight $14,000 Open Pace success at Buffalo Raceway on Saturday night (April 20).

He edged out the ex-Kiwi Optical Illusion, who led, by a neck in 1:55.4. The win lifted Lip Reader’s earnings to $US206,698.
