Down Under Winners from North America – 24th September

Swedish Starlet, a New Zealand bred daughter of Mach Three, earned a new speed badge of 1:50.2 and picked up her 11th harness racing win for the year when she captured the $25,000 Open Handicap for fillies and mares at Plainridge Park on Tuesday (September 17). The win lifted her season’s earnings to $143,780. 

SWEDISH STARLET REPLAY

The Sportswriter gelding Lip Reader notched his ninth win for the season when he overcame a torrid passage to prevail by a neck in a $13,500 Open Handicap in 1:53.8 at Batavia Downs on Saturday night (September 20). 

Meanwhile, Aussie Scooter (by Mach Three), who was bred in Perth by Steve Johnson, reduced to lifetime record to 1:49.8 when he won a $9,500 race at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Sunday (September 22).
