Down Under Winners from North America – 30th August

The American Ideal entire American Dealer NZ scored a 2-1/2 length harness racing victory and hoisted a fresh track record of 1:50.4 in the 17^th edition of the $75,000 Robert J. Kane Memorial at Batavia Downs, New York.

The time eclipsed the previous record set by Aracache Hanover in the 2011 edition of the feature by 0.8 seconds.

It was American Dealer’s 16^th success and increased his stake tally to $401,221.

Crockett’s Cullen (Christian Cullen) led home a Kiwi trifecta in a $16,000 Open at Saratoga Raceway, New York and tipped his earnings to beyond $500,000. Alluneedisfaith and Optical Illusion filled the minor placings.

Meanwhile, the Rocknroll Hanover mare Rock N Shard NZ scored a hard fought win in the $20,000 Mares’ Open at Harrington Raceway, Delaware and brought up her fifth success for the season.

There were four 1:50 Australasian-bred winners in North America this week in Ideal Star NZ (1:49.4), Parmesan NZ (1:49.8), Montana Chief (1:50) and Hundie NZ (1:50).
