Down Under Winners from North America – 5th December

Smart Changeover mare La Bella Vita completed back-to-back wins at Plainridge Park when she prevailed in a three-way photo in the $25,000 mares’ feature in 1:54.4 on Tuesday (November 28). 

LA BELLA VITA REPLAY

It was the New Zealand-bred’s eighth win for the year and pushed her stake earnings to $138,000. 

Magical Maya, a Bettor’s Delight mare bred by Kevin Seymour, made a triumphant winning debut on American soil leading for the last three-quarters to capture a $15,000 mares and fillies’ Open at Saratoga Raceway in 1:56.2 on Monday (November 27). 

The NSW bred gelding Lexus With A View notched his second win in a row and his sixth for the season when he prevailed in the last stride in 1:57.2 in the $6,500 feature at Cumberland Raceway on Saturday (December 2). 

Rocknroll Runa, a NSW bred son of Rock N Roll Heaven, won his eighth race in his debut season in North America, carving out the mile in 1:53.2 on a chilly evening at Saratoga Raceway.
