Down Under Winners with Carter Dalgety

The former top Western Australian pacers Patrickthepiranha (Four Starzzz Shark) and Soho Leviathan (Rock N Roll Heaven) scored memorable harness racing wins in North America this week.

Patrickthepiranha, a six-year-old Four Starzzz Shark gelding, outstayed his rivals to win a $20,000 Open Handicap by a length in 1:51.2 at Plainridge Park, Massachusetts.

It was his fifth win for the year and lifted his stake tally to $US322,401.

Soho Leviathan, an eight-year-old son of Rock N Roll Heaven and the champion racemare Pelicanrama, notched his first win of the year at Cumberland Raceway, Maine in 1:55.8. The gelding has earned $US245,279 during his career.

The fastest ‘down under’ bred winner for the week was Typhoon Stride NZ (Bettor’s Delight), who put up a new lifetime mark of 1:50.4 at Hoosier Park, Indiana.
