Down Under Winners with Carter Dalgety

Quality field of down under harness racing mares taken out by No Win No Feed A.

A competitive race field filled with four down under race horses was assembled at the Meadowlands on Friday. Erv Miller trained two of them in No Win No Feed A and La Bella Vita N. While Michael Annunziata trained Betacool N and Karen Garland with Uptown Lady N. Heading up to the starting gates La Bella Vita N and driver Marcus Miller headed out as the favourite.

When released all four of the down under mares were eased and settled in the running line comfortably. But there was moves during the running that bought back runners into the contest. Turning in it was anybody’s race but a storming finish from No Win No Feed A running home in 26.4 was enough to make her the winner. Andy Miller was in the race bike and the race was clocked in 1:54.4.

The Rocknroll Dance mare also had a very successful down under harness racing career. She won the Group 1 Bathurst Gold Bracelet Final with Todd McCarthy in the bike. Soon after she won the Group 1 NSW Breeders Challenge Final for Luke McCarthy. Then to complete the big three, she won her third Group 1 in the Breeders Crown Final for 3yo fillies, again with Todd McCarthy.

All of this created over $400,000 in stake earnings to her name. A big feat to win three Group 1 races down under and now carrying on winning races in America.
