Down Under Winners with Carter Dalgety

Fastest Down Under Pacers of the week.

Saturdays harness racing at Pocono in Pennsylvania saw an impressive win from Bill Haley A. This son of Rock N Roll Heaven who is now trained by Lance Hudson started from gate two and received a lovely trip in the trail throughout the journey. Driver Anthony Napolitano eased the 7yo out in the stretch and he soon went on by the leader, pacing his last quarter in 27.1 and winning the $15,700 Pace in a time of 1:49.2. It was Bill Haley A third win of the 2021 racing season and took his seasons earning over $50,000.

During his down under racing career Bill Haley A won and both Group 3 and Listed level, along with notably placing in a Group 1 and Group 2 race.

Staying in Pennsylvania but moving our attention to the Harrah’s Philadelphia racetrack and Casino, we saw a competitive field of pacing mares take the track. Floating out of gate two was Keep Rockin A, another produce of Rock N Roll Heaven but this time a mare trained by down under trainer Nifty Norman.

Finding the lead before the half the 5yo paced home in solid fractions to put a space on rivals in the stretch. Driver Pat Berry extended Keep Rockin A out to a very dominant win in the $16,200 Mares pace, clocking 1:49.4. The latter end of her down under racing career showed her potential when she placed at Group 1 and Group 2 level before heading to the states to continue on her racing career.
