Down Under Mare and Trainer win $100,000 Feature Pace. On Sunday at Harrah’s Philadelphia Chester in Pennsylvania, the Betsy Ross Invitational Mares Pace was run. Taking it out was the down under harness racing duo of Keep Rockin A and Nifty Norman. Keep Rockin A was rewarded for her consistency when winning this $100,000 Pace in 1:50.1. Brian Sears was in the bike to steer her to victory in a well-executed drive. In third place was the down under trained and driven Machnhope, who had Andrew McCarthy and Noel Daly at her care. Keep Rockin A a daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven started racing in the United States just into the new year after winning just short of $140,00 in Australia and placing at Group 1 level.
Also on the same race card Dexter Dunn won four races including the $100,000 Invitational Maxie Lee Memorial with freak trotting mare Manchego in 1:51.3.
Andrew McCarthy also won two races and Todd McCarthy got one.
Trainers Brett Pelling and Chris Ryder also won two races each.
Another successful day of winning for Down Under horsemen and racehorses.
