Stephen and Jo Blair have been clients of Gore harness racing trainer Tony Stratford for a long time and Dreamalittledream (A Rocknroll Dance) won for the combination on debut at Wyndham today (Nov. 12).
āThe Blairs have been good clients of ours and weāve had her down here for a couple of months. Theyāre South Otago people just like me. They always send us nice horses,ā Stratford said.
Driven by Brent Barclay, the three year old filly was taken straight to the top and she held on to beat Shezza Vinny (Vincent) by three quarters of a length.
āShe had a nice draw today and the way she went at the workouts the other day we were confident. I thought it would take a good one to beat her. Weāll space her races and it might be three weeks before she lines up again.ā
Stratford is excited about two year old Dawson (Sweet Lou) whoās owned by some of the owners of Spirit Of St Louis (Sweet Lou). Heās impressed at the trials and workouts.
