Current harness racing Trainer Premiership leaders Robert and Jenna Dunn are about to reintroduce some of their stable top liners.
A few were at the Rangiora trials yesterday and there are more waiting in the wings.
Robert Dunn gave a team rollcall to Harnesslink’s Bruce Stewart this morning.
Triple G (Sunshine Beach) 6-4-1-1 $50,918.00
- Last started 12th of May at Addington, running third in the Garrards Sires Stakes Final.

“He’s a week from going to the trials. We’re very pleased with him. He had a wee bit of a foot issue when he first came back (infection from wet weather and mud) which put him back a week or two but he’s right now. He’ll only need one trial and will be racing shortly after that I would think. He’s a magnificent horse to sit behind, big and powerful and he could turn into a brute of a horse if he gets his head round racing. He’s always been a funny steering horse but he’s getting better all the time,” Robert said.
Highgrove (Love You) 22-11-1-3 $231,932.00
- Last started at Addington on 4th of December running fourth in the New Zealand Trotting Derby.

“He’s been turned out with a tendon issue. We’re treating it now. It’s not serious but it’s going to take a little bit of time.”
Nazareth (Love You) 12-3-0-3 $73,852.00
- Last raced at Addington on 8th of April.

“He trialled super and is coming up great. He could be a smokey for later in the season. He’s from a family that gets better with time.”
Aardiebythehill (Muscle Hill) 34-8-8-5 $153,892.00
- Last started in Auckland on 28th of April running sixth in the Rowe Cup.
“He’s coming up nicely. He trialled well yesterday (finishing 3rd). Johnny (Dunn) said he felt super, trotted great.”
Bach (Bettor’s Delight) 16-7-0-0 $72,371.00
- Last started in Auckland on 26th May running ninth in the Auckland Cup.

“He lost a little bit of ground on the turn at the trials yesterday. It takes a little bit of time to get him going the Addington way around. Johnny said he felt fantastic and the last 50 metres was really strong.”
Sunnys Sister (Majestic Son) 9-1-1-1 $12,948.00
- Last raced at Alexandra Park 26th May running eighth in the Northern Trotting Derby.
“We’re very impressed with her. She was a bit fresh at the trials yesterday. She gives you the impression that she’s got a lot of her brother’s (Sundees Son) ability and mannerisms. She’s not going to be foolproof but she’s a lovely trotter once she gets going. While she’s in the team it reminds you of Sunny everyday because they’re like two peas in a pod.”
Smiffy’s Terror (Terror To Love) 47-9-8-7 $150,206.00
- Last started on 26th May running third in the Auckland Cup.

“He was super at the trials yesterday. He missed away and he was hard on the back of another horse and just cruising. He’s come back looking terrific.”
Mataderos (Dream Vacation) 48-14-8-1 $200,928.00
- Last raced at Cambridge in the Cambridge Flying Stakes finishing fifth.

“He’s a couple of weeks from going to the workouts. He might have one run before he has his third crack at the DG Jones (Banks Penisula Cup – 24th September). We had to put a screw in his pastern in behind. Since then he’s been a lot sounder.”
