Southlanders Todd and Fleur Anderson have been buying Standardbred bloodstock under the Taffy Limited umbrella since entering the harness racing and breeding industry back in 2014.
With his stud stock experience in sheep, cattle and deer, Todd utilises the same principles of genetics when making decisions about bloodstock. His judgement has proven to be very successful with the stud acquiring some of New Zealand’s best broodmares.
Taffy Limited had a very successful sale last year, with four lots selling for over $100,000. Their top lot was a Bettor’s Delight colt out of Safedra which sold for $230,000. Their other top lots were Bettor’s Delight – Supersonic Miss $165,000, Muscle Hill – Paramount Faith $130,000 and a Tactical Landing colt out of San Diego Love which was knocked down for $100,000.
Laura Smith is preparing the eleven well-bred colts that are on offer at this month’s sale.
