Entries for NZB Standardbred’s 2023 National Weanling Sale are now open, set to be held as a physical sale at the Karaka Sales Centre in Auckland on Thursday 25 May.
For the third consecutive year, NZB Standardbred will continue to host the dedicated weanling only sale, which will feature a selection of the very best potential pinhook, racing and breeding stock on offer.
NZB Director and Operations Manager James Jennings is looking forward to the popular sale.
“Last year’s weanling session results amassed over $1.4 million for 99 weanlings sold, with a solid clearance rate of 91%.”
“Vendors continue to offer high quality stock, which gives buyers confidence to purchase at this early stage in their development.”
“We’ve seen some great results on the racetrack from weanlings purchased out of this sale, highlighted by Sinbad just last weekend placing third in an Australian Group Two,” commented Jennings.
Adding further appeal to the bloodstock that will be on offer, all weanlings purchased at the Sale are eligible to be nominated for the lucrative Harness Million Sales Race Series.
Entries for the National Weanling Sale are open from today and will close on Friday 24 March.
