Southland’s two leading harness racing trainers Craig Ferguson and Nathan Williamson have some quality runners with winning chances at Winton on Friday.
In Race Four Huki Fella (Lord Forbes) is lining up, a new addition to the Ferguson stable. The three year old gelding has had three starts against some quality opposition and gets a nice marble (1).
Trotter Hidden Talent (Bacardi Lindy) won four of her six starts as a three year old and her wins included the Group Three Sires Stakes Classique at Addington.
She last raced in December and Williamson has given her three workouts in readiness for the start of her four year old season. She won two and ran second in the other. She starts in Race Five for driver Ollie Kite and Nathan said she’s the stables best bet.
Wyndham trainer Craig Ferguson has had a great season and Snow Robyn (Rock N Roll Heavan) lines up for the stable in Race Six. This is her third start back and she was a good second to Mo’unga (Bettor’s Delight) at her last start at Oamaru. This looks like a very winnable race for her.
Quality three year old Rise Up N Dance (Art Major) has had two quiet workouts in preparation for the resumption of his three year old season. He’s lightly raced, winning once from two starts.
