Harness racing trainer Oliver Adlam trained his first winner tonight when Slainte (Angus Hall) and driver John Morrison crossed the line first in the Silvermoon Jewellers Ladies Night – 8 July Trot at Addington Raceway.

Adlam is training two horses at the moment and to get his first win at Addington with one of them was a dream come true.

“Yeh it was special to do here at Addington,” Oliver Adlam told Nigel Armstrong from Harness Racing Unhinged after the race.

“It also was good to do it with a good group of owners and with one of my childhood best mates John Morrison driving,” he said.

John Morrison and Slainte blasted straight to the lead in the stand start event and the pair were never headed eventually winning comfortably by one and a quarter lengths from a game Show The Way who trailed, with a further 3 lengths back to the favourite for the race Sigrid who battled on for third.
