Race 10 EAST WEST FENCING SUMMER CUP FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE PACE) (Gr3) $28,425, 4YO & OLDER FFA, 1980m

B D Joe makes up for his unlucky run in the NZ FFA by winning the Group Three Summer Cup FFA at Addington today in the hands of Tim Williams.

Race 9 IRT NEW ZEALAND OAKS (MOBILE PACE) (Gr1) $175,000, 3YO FILLIES, 2600m

The Purdon/Cullen stable grab another Group One win, this time with outsider No Matter Wat (A Rocknroll Dance), who leads all the way at odds of 17-1 in the hands of driver Olivia Thornley.

Race 8 LIVAMOL NEW ZEALAND TROTTING FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE TROT) (Gr1) $100,000, FFA, 1980m

Hot favourite Muscle Mountain (Muscle Hill) leads all the way to win the Trotting Free For All in the hands of Ben Hope.

Race 7 SUNSHINE STARS NEW ZEALAND DERBY (MOBILE PACE) (Gr1) $250,000, 3YO, 2600m

Favourite Akuta (Bettor’s Delight) shows his class and gives the Purdon/Cullen stable another Group One by demolishing his rivals in the NZ Derby today. Akuta had to sit parked for the last lap but was too strong beating Republican Party by a widening margin in very quick time.

Race 6 CANTERBURY SPA & POOL ACE OF HEARTS (2YO FILLIES) MOB TROT (Gr1) $100,000, 2YO FILLIES MOBILE, 1980m

High Energy (Father Patrick) remains unbeaten with a massive run to blitz the Group One for 2YO Trotting Fillies. Driver Mark Purdon had no luck with High Energy being posted three wide behind a slow one for most of the race. In the end it didn’t matter as the speed shown by the Father Patrick filly over the last 600m saw her loop the field and run away over the closing stages.

Race 5 THE CROSSING ACE OF SPADES (2YO C & G) MOBILE PACE (Gr1) $100,000, 2YO COLTS & GELDINGS, 1980m

Don’t Stop Dreaming (Bettor’s Delight) wins the 2YO Colts and Geldings Group One in the hands of Mark Purdon. The Purdon/Cullen stable train the first five home in the race.

Race 4  PRON8URE PROBIOTIC NEW ZEALAND TROTTING DERBY (MOB TROT) (Gr1) $100,000, 3YO MOBILE, 2600m

Nazareth (Love You) causes a big upset in the Trotting Derby, winning narrowly but well at 26-1 for the Jenna and Robert Dunn stable. Tim Williams was the driver.

Race 3 AVON CITY FORD ACE OF DIAMONDS (2YO FILLIES) MOBILE PACE (Gr1) $100,000, 2YO FILLIES, 1980m

Champion filly Millwood Nike (Captaintreacherous) remains unbeaten with another fantastic performance winning Race 3.  Millwood Nike sat parked but was still way too good for the opposition winning easily in quick time.

Race 2 COMMODORE HOTEL ACE OF CLUBS (2YO C & G) MOBILE TROT (Gr1) $100,000, 2YO COLTS & GELDINGS, 1980m

The first of the Group Ones has been run and the Paul Nairn trained Confessional (Father Patrick) upsets at odds of  8-1. Favourite Gold Bullion ruined his chances with a late gallop when looking a danger.
