Hail Mary (Bacardi Lindy) extended the grand record of her harness racing dam Juliana when she impressively won on debut at Cromwell today.
The race was a bit of a messy affair with numerous breakers. But in the hands of Ollie Kite, Hail Mary remained calm and focused and got the job done, winning by two and a quarter lengths from Jay Bee Hill.
HAIL MARY REPLAY
Trained by Nathan Williamson, the four year old has been well drilled at workouts and trials and her result today builds on the success the Williamson family and the Griffins Syndicate have had with this breed.

Nathan trained Dark Horse (14 wins) and Hidden Talent (9) to win for the group while the Syndicate have also had success with other Juliana foals.
Sarah Palin won ten races for Margo Nyhan – six when raced by the syndicate, whilst Phil Williamson trained Monty Python to win fifteen and Arc De Triomphe once for the group.
The Griffins Syndicate have also secured the next foal out of Juliana who’s a full brother to Dark Horse and Hail Mary, named Jaguar.
Later in the day Williamson made it a double when Secret Agent Man impressively won the last race.
Meanwhile the draft racing calendar was released to Southern Clubs this week.
It’s exciting that the Winton Trotting Club will host four heats in the World Drivers Championship on Sunday 9th November.
Also of note is that Southern Harness Sunday meetings will increase from twenty to thirty three when the new dates come into play from August.
