With most of the Robert and Jenna Dunn harness racing team in Auckland as Sundees Son (Majestic Son) attempts to win a third straight Rowe Cup, Korbyn Newman is in the hot seat at Addington on Friday night.

Newman combines with a quality book of drives including three runners from the Dunn barn.
Among them is impressive recent qualifier Howling Wolf (Bettor’s Delight).
The three-year-old looks a decent winning threat in his debut in race 3.
“His last trial was really impressive, he is probably not so much a leader just yet but if he follows the speed and gets a nice run he is a genuine chance,” Newman said.
Jordy (Bettor’s Delight) impressed in his first outing for the Dunn barn, winning his last start at Ashburton.
Though the four-year-old goes up in grade in race 9, he looks capable of handling it.
“His work has been good at home and he won nicely at Ashburton.”
“Hopefully we get a bit of luck from the draw, hopefully it will work out well for him, he is probably more of a one-run horse.”
“So, hopefully he shouldn’t have to do too much work and he will be running on.”
Newman combines with the returning Smiffy’s Terror (Terror To Love) in race 6.
The pacer has the advantage of starting from barrier 1, but he gives away a fitness edge to his stablemates Heisenberg (Art Major) and Sam’s Town (Art Major) as he hasn’t started since February.
But there is confidence in his camp that he is forward enough to run a handy race after a solid Rangiora trial.
“He hit the line nice in his trial, hopefully I don’t have to do too much work out of the gate to get a handy spot.”
“He should be fit enough to run a good race.”
Newman combines with Evangalist (Shadyshark Hanover) who also goes into race 8 fresh up for trainers Jason and Ian Thomas.
The four-year-old goes into an even line up with the benefit of having two trials.
“She is handy on her day and it is not the greatest of junior races.”
“She looked to be jogging in her last trial, so hopefully she gets a nice run and she would be a good chance.”
Claus (Tintin In America) looks a rough hope for Newman in race 1.
