Harness racing hits Addington again today with 1eight races on the card . The racing starts at 5:19pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R5   Captain Kobe

Best Value:  R6   Brett’s Mate

Race 1

Katherine (5) Has been unlucky and has raced better fields. Can run top three with luck
Kowhai Nugget (7) Small field will help and has a big finish. Stable respect. Needed
Classie Linc (8) Drops in class for this but will need manners. Good enough to win. Include

Race 2

Monkee Major (6) Wider draw but has been finishing off her races well. Winning claims
Vin’s Deal (4) Trainer respect and big winner at recent trials. Might start favourite in this
Samkerr (5) Improver from her last campaign and trialling well. Top three chance here

Race 3

Bluey (2) Has the speed and just needs the manners early. Better run expected in this field
Kerrally (6) Normally a good beginner and a weaker field here. Should race handy. Include
Hoofn It (8) Bit of a grinder who is in a winnable race. Can sneak a top three with luck

Race 4

Belmont Valor (3) Solid second two starts ago and a winning chance from the draw. Needed
Good Time Betty (4) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Should give a good account
Shannon B (2) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds in this field

Race 5

Captain Kobe (8) Goes best in front and aggressive driver on board. Top selection in this
Quinn (2) Has a reputation and well placed here. Good each way chance from the draw
Auntie Deb (9) Disappointing last start on grass. Wide draw but not the worst with luck

Race 6

Brett’s Mate (2) Has been battling away but due to find some form again. Winning claims
Shandon Bells (5) Better than the form suggests. Top three claims from the draw. Include
Miles Away (3) Due to show form and drawn well here. Driver change and could surprise

Race 7

Zia Bromac (6) Good beginner who has raced better fields. Can lead and stick on in this
Ultimate Counsel (5) Should get a run through early. Might need luck but has claims
Ruby’s A Delight (4) Nice draw and goes well on the track. Conditions suit here. Include

Race 8

Millwood Goddess (9) Wide draw but can finish well if the pace is on. Will need luck
Darby (11) Tricky draw but should go close to placing in this. Good second last start
Sophia Bromac (12) Has had no luck in recent races. Top three chance with a hot pace
