Harness racing hits Motukarara again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:10pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Bet:  R10   Boyz Invasion

Best Value:  R8   Manjimup

Race 1

Tilthesunsets (2) Good beginner who will race handy to the speed. Can run top three again here
Torvi (6) Getting better with racing and grass should be ideal. Trainer does well here. Needed
Transtasman Bubble (7) Going well in similar fields and should be included here in exotic bets. 

Race 2

Doctor Tim  (6) Grass suits and tidy win last start. This field is within his reach and top selection
Foveaux Gambler (2) Has good ability and racing better than the form suggests. Not the worst
Motor Mouth (7) Grass specialist who might go forward early. Big chance if he can find the front

Race 3

Apatchofgold (3) Conditions suit. Has been unlucky on multiple occasions. Only needs luck here
Eastwood Dream (5) Opened at a good price. Could surprise and looks a good chance in this
Zia Bromac (1) Looked ok at runs and inside draw a help. Should go close to placing in this

Race 4

Bettor Reaction (6) Has the form on the board and ran a nice race when last on the track. Include
Rosie Richter (14) Gets a bonus run in this grade and winning form is good form. Hard to beat
Harry Belafonte (8) Looked ok last start before breaking. Wide draw but likely to go forward. Include

Race 5

Sweet Spirit (2) Better than form suggests and drawn to be a major player here. Can win with luck
Mossdale Margaret (8) Racing well and wide draw only concern. Has the speed to get over them late
Eyeliner (1) Drawn well and top driver booked. Might start favourite and is one of the better chances

Race 6

On Report (11) Would have gone close to winning last start but had no room. Top selection in this
Courage Reactor (3) Grass stats very good and has gate speed. One for longer odds in this field.
The Real McCoy (8) Ran home well last start but tricky draw. Chance with a cart into the race

Race 7

Bellerophonte (11) Good second last start and looks a major player in this. Top selectionin this
Lovey Dovey Nova (1) Running on late last start and good draw for this. Could surprise here
Ruthless Lizzie (9) Has speed on grass and just needs the right trip to be a threat here. Include

Race 8

Manjimup (16) Draw hurts but goes well on the track. Can get into the placings with luck
Full Of Desire (12) Racing well and grass no issues. Winning claims with a good run in transit
Rapid Response (5) Good at the stand and likes to race handy. Chance if he goes forward early

Race 9

Franco Indie (9) Failed on grass in a hot field at Methven but go again in this. In top form
Lester (7) Good run last start. Likes the track and will be thereabouts if he gets a soft run
Blue Rock Dancer (3) Another nice draw and grass suits. Can threaten with one run at them

Race 10

Boyz Invasion (9) Has the ability on grass and in winning form. Good chance of going four in a row
Zsa Zoe (11) Form a bit patchy but goes ok the track. At her best would be a big chance here
DD’s Super Stuart 8) A bit in or out but can pop up when you least expect it. One for longer odds

Race 11

Straight Flush (9) Track will suit and good gate speed. Possible leader who can give a sight
Poetry In Motion (8) Has raced well here in the past. Winning claims with a good run in transit
Just Follow Me (7) Running on late here last start. Looks one of the better chances in this
