Harness racing hits Akaroa again today with twelve races on the card. The racing starts at 12:00pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Bono Brown (4) Disappointing last start. Better than that so go again.
Baileys Pitch (2) Gets a better draw to work with here. Winning claims
Melando Chief (11) Coming in fresh and grass suits. Could get a cosy run from the draw

Race 2

Tu Tangata (5) Raced well against similar opposition last start. Hard to beat here
One El (16) Ok last start and will be fitter for this. Can run top three at longer odds
Clover Rose (1) Grass should suit and ran a good second last start. Win hope here

Race 3

Sophia Bromac (9) Has been unlucky in recent starts and goes well here. Hard to beat
Ruby’s A Delight (1) Another who has been blocked for a run a couple of times. Include
Krystal Delight (6) Conditions suit and gate speed to lead early. Can surprise with luck

Race 4

Choco Lou (2) Racing well and looks very hard to beat in this. Top selection
Wolf Of Wall Street (7) First starter with ok trial form. Not the worst in this
Melton Militant (13) Tricky draw but debut on grass. Can run top three with luck

Race 5

Jezebel (1) Unknown on grass but looks hard to beat from the inside draw. Needed
Moet Shard (4) Racing well and getting fitter. Winning claims in this field.
Secret Cocktail (5) Running home well last start. Can run top three with luck in running

Race 6

Ginas Majesty (8) Underrated trotter who was ok last start. Winning claims
Rachmaninov (14) Loves grass and racing well. One of the better chances in this
Murano (5) Grass suits and normally a quick beginner. Can run top three

Race 7

Royal Del (7) Racing well and grass stats good. One of the major players
Muscle Bank (6) Has run some good races against strong fields. Winning claims
Prince Teka (8) Quick beginner who is always a place chance. Include for exotic bets

Race 8

Bellissimo Acquisto (16) Looked good last campaign. Top selection in this field
Ventura (12) Grass suits and tough as old boots. Needs luck but winning claims
Kennedy (4) Goes well on grass and might be the early leader. One for longer odds

Race 9

Homebush Lad (14) Racing well against simlar fields and grass suits. Winning claims
Corravally Star (15) In great form and will be running on late. One of the better chance
Sam’s Town (8) Fast beginner and ok last start. Has to rate highly in this field

Race 10

Star Casino (11) Up in grade but has raced well on the track in the past. Can go close here
Apatchofgold (6) Good win on grass last start. Similar effort takes her close in this
Tide And Time (10) Form has tapered off but draw suits. Can finish strongly with gaps

Race 11

Buffy Northstains (6) Racing well and grass suits. Winning claims with a quick beginning
Magic Dash (2) In great form and placed on grass. One of the better chances in this
Illegal Alien (8) Fast beginner and ok last start. Rates highly in this field

Race 12

She’s Tough (12) Plenty of ability and grass specialist. Can go close here with luck
Megarock (7) Good beginner who might lead early. Can stick on for a place in this
The Coalman (5) Good win last start and no reason he will not go good again. Needed
