Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:10pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Virginia Clowers (4) Building up some good form and has to rate highly in this. Needed
Sue’s Dash (5) Good debut second and stand manners the only concern. Winning claims
Mighty Logan (1) Battled on well last start for third. Drawn to be a threat again here

Race 2

Lord Publisher (1) Good run on debut and expect improvement. Hard to beat from the draw
So Rock Around (6) Likes grass and might head forward. Can run top three here
Nephrite (4) Trotting bred pacer who has gone well at trials. Could surprise with luck

Race 3

Ambleside Drive (2) Better placed behind the mobile and drawn ok.  Need to include
Miki Party (1) Good trial win recently and should race handy. Winning claims in this field
Secret Cocktail (5) Conditions suit and she looks a top three chance. Include in this

Race 4

Vertigo (12) Going for four in a row and brilliant stepper. Hardest to beat in this
Call This Fun (6) Good win last start and change of driver. Can go close again here
Madeleine Stowe (10) Goes well on grass and tidy third last start. Will get a soft pegs run

Race 5

Amarla (10) Racing well but will need luck up the rails. One of the better chances in this
King Arthur (3) Ok last start and likely to head forward to lead early. Can run top three
Beyond A Shadow (6) Grass suits. And will press forward early and race handy. Include

Race 6

Rachmaninov (2) Normally a good beginner and racing ok. Hard to beat with luck in running
Ginas Majesty (1) Out of form but decent motor. Winning claims from the good draw
Lil Miss Muscles (10) Grass suits and one of the major players in this field with manners. 

Race 7

Sophia Bromac (6) Not getting much luck but better draw here. Top three chance
Flyaway (8) Has run some good races but draw hurts. Winning claims with a cart into it
Olive Cook (4) Very in or out but is tough. Could surprise with the right trip. Include

Race 8

Buckskin (3) Didn’t get the best of luck last start. Could provide value in this back on grass
Dashing Major (11) Tidy races on grass at Blenheim. Hardest to beat in this field
Sam’s Town (10) One paced but consistent and should be right in it again here. Include

Race 9

Tu Tangata (7) Not getting much luck but good stayer getting fitter. Top selection in this
Eurokash (11) Goes well on grass and has won here. Will be running on late in this
Maui (10) Good two starts ago and capable of beating this field if in the right mood

Race 10

Acento (5) Plenty of early speed and should go forward. Can go close here. Needed
I’m Your Huckleberry (2) John Dunn chooses this one and drawn well. Looks a good chance
Theresa Love (4) Goes well on grass and consistent form-line. Can run top three again here

Race 11

Ruby’s A Delight (1) Conditions suit and should get a cosy fence run. Can go close here
Press Play (8) Tricky draw but goes well on grass and is a top three chance with luck in running
Watch That Man (12) Tidy win last start and might go on with it now. Winning claims
