Harness racing hits Ashburton again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:20pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Value:  R3  Just Foxin

Race 1

Wudabubbit (2) Good run in a stronger field last start. Should be hard to beat here
Transtasman Bubble (6) Freshened for this and normally steps ok. Can run top three
Bevron (7) Reliable and likely to head forward early. Will be there around the top four

Race 2

Sweet Tartan (1) Has looked ok at trials and drawn to be a factor here. Top selection
Alta Showgirl (5) Getting better with racing. Should go close to top three again here
Kawatiri Creek (2) Drawn to race handy and has to respected again in this field

Race 3

Just Foxin (8) Going on his trials he will go close to winning this. Top selection
Blazing Reactor (4) Has trial form. Can run top three here with a good run in transit
The Finisher (6) Top driver booked and not the worst at longer odds. Could surprise

Race 4

Post Painter (7) Looked a run short at recent trials but big run on debut. Needed here
Ultimate Seisation (8) Downgrade in draws but has the form on the board. Include
My Friend Louie (5) Trainer respect but will need luck in transit. Trialled ok on the track

Race 5

Aldebaran Floss (7) Drawn wide but easy win and showed gate speed when last here.
Aroha Kenny (10) Has been racing better fields and fence run might suit. Win chance
Buffy Northstains (3) Might try for the front early. Chance if she lands lead or trail

Race 6

Heza Sport (9) Normally a good beginner but has not had a lot of luck. One for odds
Tact McLeod (7) Tidy win last start and conditions suit. Harder here but can run top three
Hey Bartender (8) Big track should suit and not the worst in this at longer odds.

Race 7

Audacity (14) Tricky draw and up in grade but still good enough to win. Needed here
Topaz (13) Has disappointed the last few starts but track will suit. Will run home quickly
Lady Boutique (7) Stable does well on the track. Could surprise with a good run in transit

Race 8

Herb (11) Freshened and has a reputation. Will be ready to run a big race here
Major Happy (9) Ran time when second last start. Draw makes it tough but can place
Szybka Lane (5) At her best would go close to placing here. Quick beginner with claims

Race 9

Miss Yo (4) Top driver booked and distance suits as does the track. Hard to hold out here
Love Walked In (12) Much better last start and can go back to back with luck in running
Prince Ranier (1) Draw helps and should get a soft run on the pegs. Top three chance

Race 10

Radioactive Jaffa (1) Conditions suit and should give a good account from the inside draw
Social Distancing (6) Unlucky last start and top driver booked. Chance at longer odds
Flyaway (3) Getting better with racing and if the pace is on is definitely a chance here
