Harness racing hits Ashburton again today with seven races on the card . The racing starts at 2:19pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Girl’s Night Out (1) has been unlucky in a few of her races. Better than the form suggests
Dr Gachet (3) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. Good chance
Sky News (4) Locally trained runner who is dropping in class slightly. Top three chance

Race 2

Wanna Play A Game (2) Looked good winning last start and stronger. Tidy run expected
Koko Kaboom (9) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit
Bodacious (11) Has a bit of speed once underway. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 3

Radioactive Jaffa (9) Solid second last start and a winning chance again but bad draw.
My Ten Guitars (3) Has gate speed and big track will suit. Should give a good account
Timbimboo (6) Iimprover with a place chance if he can find the front early. Include

Race 4

Topaz (3) Good win last start and top driver booked. Looks hard to beat in this. Needed
Jukebox Gypsy (4) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance
Major Performer (7) Wide draw but small field will help. Should go a better race. Include

Race 5

Sacetas (9) Good against a way tougher fields and freshened. Hard to beat against this lot
Didjashoutthebar (4) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw. Include
Oakley Shard (2) Due to show form and drawn well here. Driver change. Needed here

Race 6

Downtown Orlando (8) Needs to get a round without breaking. Give one more chance here
Here Comes Jane (6) Should get a run through early. Might need manners but good chance
Dancing Glenis (10) Wide draw but better than that. One for longer odds in this field.

Race 7

Betterwithbling (5) Gets a head start on the favourites. Could upset with a good trip
Arizonawildcat (8) Tricky draw but should go close to placing in this. Will need some luck
Woodlea Diamond (10) No form but has speed and has been unlucky. Top three chance
