Harness racing hits Ashburton again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:30pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Rapid Response (5) Good stepper who should race handy. One for longer odds
Rocketman (1) Has good form and will race in the lead or trail. Winning claims
Sirius (2) Running on well at trials and small field helps. Major player in this field

Race 2

Denver (1) Brings good form and drawn well. Top chance in this field
Latrell (5) Has a bit of a reputation and can handle this field with no mistakes early
Izia  (3) Trainer/driver combo hard to beat on debut runners. Needed here

Race 3

Judine (2) Likely to go forward early and John Dunn choses this one. Winning claims
Mystify Me (3) Ran ok  last start and will be fitter here. One of the major players
Major Happy (4) Racing ok without luck. Could surprise at nice odds

Race 4

One Over Da Line (5) On the breeding she will be hard to beat. Should go close
Gold Bullion (6) Looks to have a fairly big motor. Winning claims here with manners
Tectonic (8) Trialled well and looked to have more in the tank. Will be finishing on

Race 5

Endless Dreams (2) Comes up with a good draw and has speed. Should be right in it
Franco Cornel (1) Good beginner who should lead or trail. Can run top three
Songbird (10) Disappointing last start but this race suits. Place chance from the draw

Race 6

Chrislynn (1) Better race last start and mobile suits. Should go well again here
Secret Cocktail (2) Will be better for the last start run and will race handy. Include
Philadelphia Filly (3) Good finish at recent trials . Could surprise with luck in the running.

Race 7

Killarney Dance (1) Has been freshened but was good last campaign. Good chance here
Trouble Supreme (7) Not disgraced last start and quick beginner. Include
Rakajed (8) A bit one paced but tough. Place chances again here over the shorter trip

Race 8

Make My Sundon (9) Drops in grade and can fly the tapes. Winning claims here
Harry Potter (3) Manners a big concern but has the ability. Worth another chance
Tres Magnifique (4) Might head forward early and racing well. One of the major players

Race 9

Dannemora (7) Coming in fresh but some big runs last campaign. Can run top three
Petrify (9) Has form and getting better with racing. Good winning chance
The Conqueror (11) Good beginner likely to race handy. One for longer odds

Race 10

Ruby’s A Delight (1) Good finish last start and drawn to trail. Hard to beat here
Maid Of Money (5) Has had a freshen up and good enough to figure here. Include
Rakanotta (10) Drawn to get a soft run on the fence. Can win with gaps in the straight
