Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 8 races on the card . The racing starts at 6:19pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Bravehearthighlander (3) Led most of the way here and won well last start. Can go back to back
Freya (9) Southern visitor with ability and mobile will help. One for longer odds with any gaps
Tu Tangata (10) Improver from his last start and weaker field. Will give some cheek in this lineup

Race 2

Double Parked (3) Looked a bit unlucky last start running on late. Good run expected here
Carrera Hombre (7) Ok last start and a threat to these if he can find the front. Has to be included
Courtney Rose (5) Trainer change and has raced well on the course in the past. Can sneak top three

Race 3

Duchess Maria (2) Solid win last start and a winning chance from the draw. Has a big reputation
Redpark Warrior (6) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Should give a good account again
Te Ahi (7) Good run on debut and improver with a place chance at longer odds in this. Needed

Race 4

Tytate (1) Fought on for second last start in a similar field. Top selection in this from the ace draw.
Crumsy (9) Freshened and well placed here from the draw. Good each way chance at longer odds
South Side Story (11) Big motor and has been good at workouts. Stable respect on premier nights.

Race 5

Meant To Be (10) Good against most of these winning last start. Hard to beat against and draw suits
Higher Power (2) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw and main danger to #10
Frazzled (7) Nice upset win last start winning easily. Better with a sit and can win if driven that way

Race 6

Faith In Manchester (6) Drops in grade for this and can bounce back quickly. Will need manners
Shesgold (1) Good draw and should go close to placing in this with a headstart on favourites. Include
High Energy (7) In good form and hard to beat if she can get handy to the leaders. Top three chance

Race 7

Beside Me (3) Fastest horse in the field and will be hard to beat in this. Nice draw and can go close
General Jen (2) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances in a strong field
Arafura (10) Beat most of these last start. Will continue to improve and win hope again here

Race 8

Val Thorens (9) Ran some nice races earlier in the year. Tricky draw but can go close with gaps
Paramount Lady (4) Decent motor and is drawn well here. Top driver booked and hard to beat
Hillbilly (8) Disappointing last start but weaker field here. Will continue to improve and can place
