Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5.58pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Regal Girl (10) Has performed well in better fields. Drawn to follow through and can win
Shesgold (5) Mobile will help and has the speed to be a top three chance with luck in running
Faith In Manchester (8) Wide draw but distance suits and trotting well at the moment. Include

Race 2

Escape Artist (7) Tricky draw but has been racing well in stronger fields. Top selection in this
Sunshine Shelby (2) Will be suited by the shorter distance. Should give a good account here
Benjamin Button (9) Fair last start in a similar field. Better suited here and upset chance

Race 3

Levi (4) Has a bit of a reputation and mobile will assist. One of the major players with manners
Emily Bay (5) Good form and reliable horse amongst breakers. Has to be included and can go close
Florence The Machine (3) Tidy third last start and will be running on late in this. Winning claims

Race 4

In Excess (2) Has been racing better fields and drawn to suit. Should run top three here
Jahi (4) Back from racing strong Canterbury fields. One of the better chances in this field
Gladys Greenland (1) Nice draw and should get a cosy run. Looks a good winning chance

Race 5

Diamonds Are Forever (8) Mobile and sprint trip suit. Can get into the placings from the wider draw
Duchess Megxit (6) Impressive on debut and this grade should hold no fears. Go again in this
Clouding Over (3) Has been unlucky but due to show some form. One for longer odds

Race 6

Simply Sam (6) Racing well and likely to race handy. Needs the right trip but include here
Lady Of The Light (3) Disappointing last start but better than that. Needs the right trip but include
Jethro Bodine (1) Good run last start and draw a big assist. Can go close in this from the trail

Race 7

All Cashed Up(AUS)  (8) Back in a winnable race off even marks. Very hard to beat here
Kiwitrix (2) Previous winner on the track and good draw. Stable going ok and needed
Bangkok Betty (5) Ok last start. Should be thereabouts if she can stay handy. Include

Race 8

Hesashorething (6) Disappointing last start but better than that. Chance if he goes forward early
Hail Lucius (4) Smart sprinter who will appreciate the distance. Top three claims in this
Miki Shan (8) Wide draw but good enough to make his own luck. Has to be respected
