Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 11 races on the card . The racing starts at 4:38pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R1   Runkle Crunch

Best Value:  R8   Jolimont

Race 1

Runkle Crunch (5) Speedy on his day and hard to beat if he can find the front. Good chance
Roy Kent (6) In good from and should begin quickly. Stable respect on premier nights. Needed
Barbarossa (5) Getting better with racing and will be running on in this. Place chance at odds

Race 2

Mantra (2) Disappointing last start after a reasonable trip but give another chance here. Include
Bruntwood Brigade (10) Freshened for this and stronger this time in. Should give a good account
The Bettor Deal (6) Stable respect and has raced better fields in the past. Top three chance here

Race 3

Chanel Noire (4) Looked a bit green still last start and expect improvement. Good run likely here
New Kid In Town (5) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit. Include
Kowalski (1) Ok effort last start and better draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck in transit

Race 4

Mazeppa (8) Solid win last start and can go four in a row with manners. Has to be included in combos
Magic Dash (6) Freshened and gives the stable a good representation. Should give a sight fresh up
Liaison (4) Out of form but stable change and has ability. Place chance at longer odds in this field

Race 5

Invisible (7) Fought on last start and better suited in this. Track and distance stats respectable. Include
Cos I Can (6) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance back behind the mobile
Always B Elite (4) Will be fitter after last start second. Good draw and should get a soft trip in this

Race 6

Meant To Be (9) Good beating most of these earlier in his career. Hard to beat against fresh up here
Higher Power (5) Should get a soft run handy with manners. Can provide a stable quinella with luck
Ya Rite Darl (3) Due to show form and drawn well here. Stable respect and has place claims in this

Race 7

Not As Promised (3) Galloped last start but good prior. Will need manners but could surprise here
Muscle Mountain (6) Wide draw but should go close to placing in this. Winning claims if he leads
Queen Elida (1) In good form and should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance again

Race 8

Jolimont (1) Fast horse draw a great barrier. Should get a soft trip and has winning claims here
Merlin (8) Decent motor but drawn wide. One of the better chances if he can get into the race early
Mo’unga (3) Finally gets a friendly draw. Will continue to improve and a chance to get aggressive

Race 9

Youneverknow (7) Quick trotter who will be running on. Good draw and can win with manners
Happy Hill (2) Decent motor and a drawn well here. One of the better chances with no mistakes
Sharp Image (8) Good run last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again in this

Race 10

Lincoln Linda (3) Has raced well in similar fields. Should run top three again here. Needed
The Queens Gambit (1) Best draw and better than most in this field. Has to be respected in this
River (4) On debut but trainer/owner combo gets our attention. No surprise to see a winning run

Race 11

Itaintnecessarilyso (9) Track suits and has won on the track. Can go close here with manners
Paradise Ali (1) Good form on the track and drawn for a cozy run on the pegs. Needed here
Crazy (7) Manners needed but easy win last start. Can win again with no mistakes. Include
