Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 6:07pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R8  Pantani

Best Value:  R2  Harold Hanover 

Race 1

Wicked Wanda (8) Coming in fresh but big ability. Wide draw hurts but can win if  95% fit. 
Whooshka (4) Better last start and has gate speed. Place chance again at longer odds
Kourtney Kardash (3) Should be nearing peak fitness. Could surprise with a good trip

Race 2

Harold Hanover (8) Unlucky not to win last season. Have to respect fresh up in this
Shake A Leg (1) Well drawn and formline tells the story. Looks a moral to run top three
Bazooka (4) On debut but trial form is good and trainer has a good strike rate. Needed

Race 3

Santapazienza (5) Good finish for second last start. Not much improvement needed here
Loteria (9) Wide draw but ability and will be one of the favourites. Good winning chance 
Aldebaran D B (8) Racing well in similar fields and can run top three with luck in transit

Race 4

Semba (10) Big ability but tricky draw. Win chance at longer odds with a cart into the race
Always A Porsche (4) Fought on well last start and respect driver and trainer. Include here
Seaclusion (7) Wider draw but gate speed and could lead. Place chance again with luck

.Race 5

Shez Bella (9) Easy win last start and looks back to her best. Should give a good account
Ilsas Son (5) Up in grade for this but has the motor. Chance with a good run in transit
Magic Dash (8) Ok form and only need a good trip to be a threat. Good winning claims

Race 6

Blazing Louie (2) Dominating win in front last start. Very hard to beat with a similar run
Hooray Henry (4) Freshened but has competed well in better fields. One for longer odds
Artisan (6) Much improved but will still need some luck. Even field and place claims here

Race 7

Sugar Ray Lincoln (7) Good win last start and this looks easier. Top selection in this field
Debrief (2) Disappointing last start. Might be better on this track. Give another chance
Tyson (5) Money was on last start. Could surprise with a better run in transit. Include

Race 8

Pantani (7) Up in grade but times suggest he can win again at short notice. Go again
Emily Bay (2) Looks stronger now and good second last start. Nice chance from the draw
Lil Whip (1) Needs manners but can threaten the favourite if she trots all the way. Include

Race 9

Dom Toretto (4) Mixed form but at his best can worry this field. One of the better chances
Mantra (5) Has won here and weaker field. Can win if he gets handy to the speed early.
Commander Lincoln (2) Draw suits but hard to get a line on his recent form. One for odds
