Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 8 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:06pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R4   Village Rebel

Race 1

Tyson (2) Couldn’t go in a straight line last start. Well placed here but would need to lead to win
Tytate (6) Should begin quickly and going for four in a row. Very hard to beat in this field. Include
Sugar Ray Lincoln (10) Getting better with racing and several gear changes here. Place chance

Race 2

The Rascal (1) Has the draw and the form to be one of the major players. Has to be included
The Night Agent (6) Ran a good second on debut and has been freshened for this. Stable respect
Captain Moonlight (5) Improver from his last start but harder field here. Top three chance again

Race 3

Mad Mary (6) Big run last start and only needs manners to go close here. Good run expected
Grace N Elegance (7) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit. Include
Mass Disruption (3) Good effort last start and can sneak into the top three with luck in running

Race 4

Village Rebel (5) Solid finish last start and a winning chance with a better trip. Include
Mantra Blue (8) Tricky handicap but no doubting the speed. Should give a good account
Kevin Kline (4) Punching above his weight recently and well placed here. Good chance

Race 5

Pantani (3) Fought on last start in a stronger field. Top selection in this but will need manners
Crackerjack (4) Form says he runs top three and has been racing much better. Good EW chance
Santapazienza (5) Will be fitter after last start win. Extra distance no issue and has to be included

Race 6

Confederate (1) Good against a way tougher field last start. Hard to beat fresh and from the ace
Clouding Over (2) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw at longer odds
Always B Magic (5) Due to show better form and drawn ok here. Stable respect and could surprise

Race 7

Andretti(AUS) (6) Recent trial very good and looks hard to hold out. Wide draw but goes close
Lincoln Lover (4) Freshened and can go well here. Stable can get the young ones flying early
Prince Lincoln (5) Should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance at longer odds here

Race 8

Bravehearthighlander (8) Last two runs have been very good. Wide draw but should run top three
Westar Milly (2) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances for a place
Nabrina (5) Aussie visitor with good form. Will continue to improve and winning claims fresh up
