Harness racing hits Auckland again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 5:38pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R5   Jasinova

Race 1

Regal Girl (2) Ran home well last start and conditions suit here. Can run top three again
Southern Diamond (7) Freshened but one of the better chances in this with his speed. Needed
Liaison (4) Good beginner who is due to strike form. No surprise to see him in the placings

Race 2

Upstage (2) Racing well in similar fields and has a good stable reputation. Top selection in this
Harold Hanover (1) Drawn to get a run through early here. Place claims with a trail here
Skys Legacy (8) Wide draw but stable and driver respect. Chance with a cart into the race

Race 3

Always B Elite (6) Raced the best 3yo’s last campaign. Looks stronger now and can win fresh up.
Kourtney Kardash (3) In good form and should get a soft run near the lead. Place claims again
You Little Beauty (7) Needs a good run in transit. Should give a good account at longer odds

Race 4

Always B Magic (1) Looked a bit unlucky last start. Should go close in this field from the ace
Always B Misty (6) Change of driver for this. Wide draw but good win last start. Go again
Beachbreak (5) Looks well suited here if he has strengthened up. Stable in form and good chance

Race 5

Jasinova (1) Improver from last start second. Likely leader who will be in it for a long way in this
Bangkok Betty (7) Normally steps cleanly. Tricky draw but not the worst in this at longer odds
Eagle Hanover (4) Getting better with racing and normally holds his form. Place chance again

Race 6

Jeremiah (4) Back from a break but looks much improved this time in. Top selection and can win
Hooray Henry (3) This looks a drop in grade. Needs the right trip, but can still place at good odds
Semba (1) Strong field but should get a soft pegs run here. Will stick on better than most in this

Race 7

Boss Jo (1) Will get a good run on the fence if he steps. Good second last start and can go close
Rise To The Occasion (4) Obvious threat in this with his good form line. Go again in this field
Stash The Cash (2) Quick beginner who has been close enough last couple. Include again here

Race 8

McKendrick (5) Racing well in better fields and has gate speed. Hard to beat in this line up.
Louezyana (6) Wide draw but small field will help. Win chance with a good run in transit
Potter (4) Quick beginner who might head forward early. Can go close to placing here
