Harness racing hits Auckland again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 6:29pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R8   Ideal Kingdom

Best Value:  R3   Ohoka Creed

Race 1

Kiwitrix (7) Tough last start in possibly a stronger field. Can get some money with no errors
Aldebaran Flame (8) Great form but manners a bit iffy. Can win with a quick beginning
Faith In Manchester (3) Up in grade after tidy win last start. Needs to step but not the worst

Race 2

Ohoka Creed (3) Raced well against similar opposition last start. Hard to beat again
Lincoln River (1) Likely to receive a good run from the draw. Can run top three here
Midfrew Lucre (2) Hardly ever out of the money and a great top three chance again here

Race 3

Escape The Pace (6) Impressive win for last start and looking for five in a row. Needed
Superfast Ninja (2) Quick beginner from the gate who has the top driver on board. Include
Cyclone Lucky Linda  (5) Conditions suit and she is getting back into top form. Can win

Race 4

Chimichurri (8) Massive run for second last start. Looks an improver and top selection in this
Charlie Brown (1) Good draw and raced well in strong opposition last start. Can surprise
Brookies Jaffa (10) Draw suits and he will be running on late. One for longer odds

Race 5

Aardiebythehill (4) Goes well on the track and manners look much better. Winning claims here
Springbank Mason (5) Big run to win last start and a similar effort will take him close. Include
Love N The Port (3) Up in grade but good enough to overcome it. First look at the track a concern

Race 6

Manhattan (4) Underrated pacer who should lead early. Hard to beat again here
Darling Me (8) Tough draw but has the best form in the race. Should run top three again
Callie’s Delight (6) Quick off the gate and racing well. Could surprise in this

Race 7

Hey Bartender (3) Decent draw and getting better with racing. Will lead them a merry dance
Rough And Ready (2) Has run some good races against similar fields. Top four chance
Copy That (7) Handicap a big concern over the shorter trip. Good chance with a swift beginning

Race 8

Ideal Kingdom (6) Top driver booked and he will be a big improver from last start. Needed
Classic Gold (4) Ok fresh and looks better placed here. Could surprise with the right run in transit
Sly Terror (5) Getting better with racing and small field helps. Place chance again here
