Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:46pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R1  Brienne

Race 1

Brienne (4) Distance suits here and has a good chance or running top three at longer odds. Include
Five O’Clock Gerry (1) Racing well and drawn to suit. Should get a soft run close to the lead. Needed
Emily Bay (9) Experienced on the track and behind mobile. Another with a soft pegs run who can place

Race 2

Kourtney Kardash (4) Slightly disappointing last start but looks a good bet if she can get handy quickly.
Katies Princess (2) Nice draw and has the speed to sprint quickly from a trailing position. Can give cheek
Potter (10) Should get a run through early and might press on. Should give a good account in this field

Race 3

Always Be Mattie (7) Wide draw but not far away last start. Will go forward at some stage and can win
Rough And Ready (4) Has run some good races in these conditions. Place claims with a fast beginning
Upstage (6) Looking for three in a row. Even field and toughest test to date but has to be included

Race 4

Captain Sampson (8) Easiest of wins last start and improving all the time. Top selection in this field
Turn O The Tide (4) Tidy draw and close enough last start. May not beat the favourite but can place
Beachbreak (2) Should get a ideal position from the ace draw. Top three chances looks best here

Race 5

Belle Neige (2) Better for the fresh up run last week. Chance again at nice odds and should give a sight
Bolt For The Hill (12) Has raced well against similar fields. Draw hurts but can make his own luck
Magic Dash (11) Tricky draw but due to get back into form. At his bets would go close to top three

Race 6

Akatea (5) Track stats ok and in great form. Good chance again if she goes forward early. Include
Mhai Surfer Girl (8) Running good races in similar fields. Should give a good account again in this
Always B Stunning (3) Better draw and racing well. Has a big finish when saved for one run at them

Race 7

Always B Elite (4) Has gate speed and stable respect here. Could start favourite and top selection here
Seaclusion (6) Quick beginner who can lead if they want to. Might push forward and dominate. Needed
Louezyana (3) Normally quick away. One of the better chances in this field if he goes forward early

Race 8

I Got Chills (3) Conditions suit and a good winning chance if he can find the lead. Hard to beat in this
Double Parked (8) Freshened and did ok on debut last campaign. Look for a good run off a bad draw
Little Hoofananny (2) Bobs up at longer odds on occasions. Upset chance with a good run in transit

Race 9

Val Thorens (5) Big run last start and likely improver. Can handle the rise in grade and top three chance
Father Barry (8) Has raced well against better fields but lacking manners. Can win with no mistakes
Loteria (4) Better than the form suggests. Will need to trot all all the way but does have a decent motor
