Harness racing hits Auckland again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 6:10pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R7   Jolimont

Best Value:  R8   Artisan

Race 1

Lovemeagain (1) Tidy second last start and  head start on main rivals. Should be hard to beat
Inasinglemoment (5) Freshened for this and workouts suggest a good run. Can run top three
A Trophy Wife (7) Reliable and could head forward early. Will be there around the placings

Race 2

Beta Prepare (9) This looks easier than last start. Draw might suit and top selection in this
Bev The Goat (6) Getting better with racing. Finished on well last start. Could surprise here
Lenny Lincoln (5) Freshened and placed at workouts. Has to be respected in this field.

Race 3

Twista (2) Ran on in a top field last start. Hard to beat and drawn to suit here. Needed
Akatea (1) Ok last start and could be the leader early. Winning chance from a forward spot
Leo Lincoln (9) Should get a handy run on the fence. Top three player from the draw

Race 4

Faith In Manchester (8) Drops in class for this and has become more reliable. Needed here
Take The Monarch (2) Better draw for this and unlucky last start. One for longer odds
Monarch Hill (7) Trainer respect but will need luck in transit. Big chance with no mistakes

Race 5

Chase A Dream (3) Drawn outside major rival but good win showing gate speed last start.
Cold Chisel (1) Has the advantage of the ace draw. Should run first or second. Needed
Major Hot (8) Ran home from back in the field last start. Will land closer here. Include

Race 6

Sacred Mountain (9) Normally a good beginner but has not had a lot of luck. Top selection
All Cashed Up (8) Running on last start and track stats suggest he can go close in this.
Castana (4) Got going too late last start. Chance here with a run closer to the speed

Race 7

Jolimont (3) Nice draw and freshened for this. Looks the leader in the race and hard to beat
McKendrick (1) Should get a soft run in the race. Good top three chance from a trailing position
Treacherous Baby (7) Stable does well on the track. Top three chance again with improvement

Race 8

Artisan (4) Led all the way last start. Will be ready to run a big race here and small field suits
Duchess Megxit (5) Will start favourite and can run over the top of them. Should run top three
Diamonds Are Forever (3) At her best would go close to placing here. Quick beginner with claims
