Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:53pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Bet West (1) Has raced better fields. Drawn to play a major part in this field. Top selection
Gladys Greenland (9) Should get a good cart along on the pegs. Needs gaps but can win
Desert Dawn (6) Wide draw but overall form is good. Could surprise with luck in running

Race 2

Faith In Manchester (11) Good win last start. Races well here and generally holds her form
Five O’Clock Gerry (5) Well drawn and has the early speed to be one of the better chances.
Brienne (4) Improver from her last start and good beginner. Top three chance at longer odds

Race 3

Brittania (6) Stable in good form and has been well in similar fields. Should place again
Double Parked (7) Conditions suit and stable respect here. Should go forward. Win chance
Tytate (2) Good effort for third last start and from the draw looks a safe place hope. Include

Race 4

Illicit Love (6) Improver from her last start second and a winning chance with a good trip.
Kenny Hill (3) Only fair when resuming but has ability. Will need manners but not the worst
Heartbreak Hotel (1) Led here last start and was run down. might try similar tactics. Can place

Race 5

Dear God (2) Galloped early last start but normally quick away. Can make her presence felt
Clouding Over (1) Has gate speed and likely trailer early. Could surprise with a handy fence run
Double Quick (6) Stable respect and wide draw only concern. Look for a good run in this field

Race 6

Pantani (7) Last start was very unlucky and only needs manners here to go close. Top selection
Halberg (4) Track stats good. Even field but winning claims with a good run in transit. Needed
Paramount Kiwi (8) Went well in age group racing last campaign. Freshened and can place

Race 7

Diamonds Are Forever (1) Could be the leader from the draw. Fought well last start after leading
Always B Stunning (3) Got room late and ran on last start. Can run top three with a good trip
Minjee (8) Racing ok and driver change for this. Upset claims at longer odds with Herlihy on

Race 8

Village Rebel (7) Can run time and small field will help. Should be running on and can win
Always B Elite (4) Going well and stable in great form recently. Can run top three again here
Hawkeye Pierce (3) In good form and should get a good run from the draw. Should place

Race 9

Ya Eejit Ya (3) Looks the most progressive horse in the field. Top selection and should run top two
Ocean Eyes (2) Decent motor and a chance to down the favourite from the draw. Include here
Rubble On The Double (5) Ok run last start. Will continue to improve but this is harder. Top three
