Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:53pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R1  Pantani

Best Value:  R3  Clouding Over

Race 1

Pantani (8) Goes best in front and well suited here. Looks a good bet on paper. Top selection
Regal Girl (6) Finished on last start and logical top three chance again here. Winning claims
Love On Line (3) Disappointing last start but better than that. Place chance with no errors

Race 2

Benjamin Button (1) Will get the run to suit from the draw. Improver at longer odds in this
Upstage (4) Good win last start and has the motor to threaten here. One of the better chances
Nelson’s Boy (11) Needs a good run in transit to show his best. Big finisher with the right trip

Race 3

Clouding Over (1) Going good races and drawn to get a handy run near the front. Needed
Kourtney Kardash (5) One paced but likes the track and has raced well against better fields
Wicked Wanda (8) Draw hurts but no doubting the speed. Hard to beat with a cart into it

Race 4

Mazeppa (1) Great form at Cambridge. If he handles the track then is a good chance in this
Shez Bella (2) Getting better with racing. Good draw and should give a good account here
Ilsas Son (3) Racing well in similar fields. Should be thereabouts at the finish. Include

Race 5

Bar Louie (8) Broke when mounting a run last start. Big ability and has winning claims
I Got Chills (3) Good form last campaign and freshened. Should go close to top three with luck
Confederate (9) Never out of the placings and conditions suit here. Can run top three fresh

Race 6

Twista (2) Consistent form for this and stand the only concern. Top three again if he steps away
Fernleigh Cash (5) Will appreciate the conditions of the race. Has winning claims in this field
Artisan (4) Racing well but stand a slight worry. Even field but has to be included in the mix

Race 7

Asteria Lavra (1) Has been racing ok in similar fields. Can improve further from the ace
Bangkok Betty (6) Running on last start but broke late. Go again in this field. Needed
Brienne (4) One paced but could land a soft fence run. Improver with places chances in this

Race 8

The Night Agent (2) On debut but extremely well bred. Looks a good chance from the draw
Harold Hanover (4) Begins well and shorter trip will help. Win chance with a good run
Infamee (7) Coming in fresh for this. Better than the form suggests and should go close

Race 9

Maro Mackendon (7) Stable respect for this. Back in the handicaps but can win again. Include
Emily Bay (5) Solid runs this campaign. Looks a good chance to run top three again here.
Miss Bebe (6) Manners the key with this one. If she steps away with them can run a place
