Harness racing hits Auckland again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 5:36pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R4   The Jolly Roger

Best Value:  R5    Eagle Hanover

Race 1

Regal Girl (6) Wider draw but fast enough to run top three with a good trip. Top selection
Sweet Olivia (8) Going for five in a row and distance suits. One of the better chances
Brienne (2) Shorter trip suits and could surprise at longer odds with a soft run in this

Race 2

Franco Santana (8) Second last start had merit. Quite a weak field and looks a good bet
Cupids Arrow (7) Wide draw but in form and has the speed to be one of the better chances.
Amazing Captain (2) Improver from her last start and drawn to play a part. Likely leader

Race 3

Viscount Mackendon (10) Stable in good form and has been racing well. Should place
Fight For Freedom (5) Change of stable and conditions suit. One for longer odds.
Father Barry (8) Needs to get around safely without any mistakes. Big chance if he does

Race 4

The Jolly Roger (1) Goes well on the track and a winning chance from the ace draw. Include
Mike Ross (2) Has gate speed and tidy win last start. Could surprise with a trailing spot
Benjamin Button (7) Tricky draw but has a big finish. Will need a cart into the race.

Race 5

Eagle Hanover (1) Just run down last start and mile will suit. Top three chance at odds
Belle Neige (6) Has raced well against similar fields. Tricky draw but should give a sight
Sheesgold (4) Stable respect and not far away last start. Look for a good run in this field

Race 6

Always B Elite (10) Tidy last start and only needs a good trip to go close. Top selection
Seaclusion (11) Track stats good. Even field but winning claims with a good run in transit
Always Be Mattie (4) Will be better for the last start run. Drawn ok and top three chance

Race 7

American Muscle (5) Conditions suit and is in good form. Can do some work and stick on
Shez Bella (9) Freshened but has a big motor. Should get a good run in transit. Include
Halberg (1) Good draw and will race handy here. Short trip will be in his favour. Needed

Race 8

Akatea (2) Can run time and could be the leader early from the draw. Distance suits
Always B Stunning (1) Galloped early last week and only needs a safe start to be a threat.
Le Major (4) Freshened and has gate speed. At his best would take some beating. Needed

Race 9

Wicked Wanda (2) Two goo recent wins but harder here. Top three chance with lusk
Jolimont (5) Decent motor and likely leader in the race. Hard to beat from the front
Skipper (6) Good win last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again here

Race 10

Aventador (3) Very quick and drawn to be handy all the way. Good winning chance in this
I Got Chills (2) Nice draw but better than most in this field. Should give a good account
Beachbreak (4) Good finish last start in a similar field and could surprise here. Include
