Harness racing hits Auckland again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 5:55pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R2  Maria Theresa

No Added Sugar (7) Good here in similar conditions a few starts ago. Freshened for this
Dalness First (3) Disappointing last start but getting fitter. Top three chance from the draw
Peter Forsberg (4) Likely early leader who will be hard to run down over the sprint. Include

Race 2

Maria Theresa (5) Drops in class for this and looks the one on paper. One of the better chances
Lovemeagain (1) Stable respect and has trial form. Freshened and good winning claims
Dragons Sunrise (4) Making Northern debut here. Distance suits and could surprise.

Race 3

Precious Bet (2) Freshened and showed promise last campaign. Should be improved for this
Potter (3) Hasn’t had all the luck. Good gate speed and trainer does well with similar horses
Franco Santana (8) Tricky draw but good stable and has trial form. Must be included here

Race 4

Halberg (3) No form has raced better fields in the past. Can win with a good trip here
Aldebaran Pippi (2) Manners not great but has the motor. Good chance if she steps cleanly
Luby Lill (4) Disappointing last start but has to be respected from the stable. Needed

Race 5

Jeremiah (6) Good win last start and a great chance of going back to back here. Top selection
Leo Lincoln (3) Good beginner who is back in form. Looks a good top three chance again
Iron Brigade (1) Easy win at Cambridge but this is harder. Can go close with a similar run

Race 6

Throwyaarmsaroundme (12) Had excuses last start and prior form excellent. Good chance
Artisan (7) Good finisher if they go hard during the running and conditions suit. Needed
Escape Artist (8) Freshened for this and has good course stats. At his best would go close

Race 7

Merlin (6) Coming in fresh but very hard to beat if he leads. Top selection in this field
Sooner The Bettor (2) Might be the early leader and should give a good account here
Alta Wiseguy (5) Normally a good beginner who could surprise if managed to get the lead

Race 8

Akatea (5) Wider draw for this but can run a good race fresh. Top selection in this
Sharkies Girl (3) Racing well enough and looks a place hope again here. Needed
Kiss (6) No form but has a lot of speed. Conditions suit and one of the main chances

Race 9

All Cashed Up (6) Might get back early but will be a chance with one run at them
Sacred Mountain (5) Huge win last start and hard to beat if she races like that again
American Muscle (4) Conditions suit and best chance is to head forward early.Include

Race 10

Ultimate Racy Girl (5) Goes well on the course and should give a good account here
Pandora (4) Conditions suit and tidy last start. Might get closest to the favourite in this
Molly Belwin (2) Better draw and has the ability to go place if she stays handy
