Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:35pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Captains Secret (6) Broke the bookies last start. Should run top three here with a good trip
Tyson (1) Draw will help and should begin quickly. Stable respect. Good chance at nice odds
Clouding Over (7) Getting better with racing and wide draw the only concern. Place chance

Race 2

Father Barry (5) Possibly the best horse in the race but needs manners. Has to be included
Forgiveness (8) No doubting the speed and winning claims if she can work into the race
It Ain’t Me Babe (6) Has been freshened and at her best would go close. Top three chance here

Race 3

Johnny Lincoln (5) Looked unlucky last start and good run expected in a winnable race. Needed
Move It Lou (3) Trialing ok and top three player with with a good run in transit. Has to be included
Pants On Fire (1) Comes in fresh with the best draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck here

Race 4

Courmayeur (5) Solid second last start and a winning chance if she brings good manners. Include
Hillbilly Blues (2) Has early speed and goes well the track. Hard to run down if he leads up here
Ocean Eyes (1) In great form and can place with a soft trip. Strong field but worth including

Race 5

Hooray Henry (8) Fought on best last start after working mid race. Tricky draw but can go close
Iron Brigade (7) Gate speed and well placed here. Good each way chance if he can get to the front
Beachbreak (1) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip. One for odds

Race 6

Melsadele (8) Good second last start and will be improved. Hard to beat against this lot. Needed
Sans Au Revoir  (4) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims again from the draw. Include
Brienne (1) Good beginner who should be positioned in a good trailing spot. Upset place claims

Race 7

In The Summertime (6) Freshened and at his best would go close. Looks over the odds at $11.00
Dixieland Delight (8) Tricky draw but should go close to placing in this. In a good vein of form
Billy The Kid (1) In good form and should get a good run from the ace draw. Winning claims

Race 8

Cyclone Sala (4) Looked in top shape last start and can go one better in this. Manners needed here
Happy Hill (2) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances with no mistakes
Santapazienza (8) Good second last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again here

Race 9

Aunty Rose (1) Good draw and should get a soft trip. Looks a good top three chance in this field
Big Herb (7) Decent motor and running on late last start. Any luck and he is a big winning chance
Caloriefree (4) Tidy third last start. Will continue to improve and stable respect. Might start favourite
