Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine  races on the card. The racing starts at 6:06pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R2   Diamonds Are Forever

Best Value:  R6   Southern Diamond

Race 1

The Ivy League (4) Good draw off the back of a nice win. Up to beating most in this field
Shez Bella (9) Hardly ever out of the placings and due another win. Needed here
Walkinonsunshine (8) Has raced well in similar fields and good third last start. Include in this

Race 2

Diamonds Are Forever (5) Good run last start and well placed in this field. Hard to beat here
Nelson’s Boy (3) Will be improved and drawn handy Can run top three at longer odds
Throwyaarmsaroundme (4) Upgrade in draws and underrated. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 3

Kiwitrix (1) Racing well and in a winnable race. Needs to step but has winning claims
Springbank Mason (7) Manners the key with this trotter. Has the motor and could surprise
Mystic Max (10) Tricky handicap but a big improver. Can run top three but will need luck

Race 4

Self Assured (5) Good last start and conditions suit. One of the major chances
Copy That (4) Quick beginner who might try to lead in this. Should run top two
Kango (2) Has a nice draw but will need the pace right on to beat the two favourites. 

Race 5

Muscle Mountain (1) Drawn to be a factor early. hard to see him beaten if he leads here
Aldebaran Zeus (2) Speedy and could test the favourite late if he secures the trail behind him
Oscar Bonavena (6) Drawn outside the two favourites and top three chance looks best

Race 6

Southern Diamond (3) Coming in fresh but will be improved. Good chance from the draw
Kiss And Run (1) First go on the track but has the speed to be competitive. Can run top three
Lovemeto (5) Ok last start but stronger field here. Another with a top three claims in this

Race 7

Bach (6) Drawn wide but might race close to the speed here. Can win if he leads
Mr Kaplan (1) Big upgrade in draws for this and conditions suit. Can run top three again
Simply Sam (5) Has raced well on course in the past and top driver booked. Chance here

Race 8

Isolate (3) Looks a great chance of winning with no mistakes early. Top selection in this
The Fiery Countess (1) Nice draw and nearly led all the way last start in a similar field
Aldebaran Pippi (8) Racing ok but will need manners to win. Can run top three with luck

Race 9

Vegas Strip (3) Drawn to go forward early Winning claims based on trial form. Include
Fergalicious (7) Wide draw but has raced well in stronger fields. Can go close in this
Bettor Cheer (1) Should get a run through early. Needed from the good draw.
