Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:52pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

The Fiery Countess (3) Good after breaking last start. Hard to beat with complete manners
Brienne (2) Winner fresh over a mile and will be improved. Could surprise at nice odds here
Aldebaran Allblack (10) Form is good and stepping away the only issue. One of the better chances

Race 2

Nelson’s Boy (6) Has run some big races on the track but will get back. Winning claims with luck
Gandalf (10) Getting better with racing and draw is ok. Top three hope again here. Needed
Lincoln River (5) Drawn to go forward early and is in fine form. Looks hard to run down

Race 3

Kiwitrix (5) Previous form excellent. Up to winning this with a safe getaway and conditions suit
Bangkok Betty (2) Much better last start. Similar field here and looks a strong winning chance
Jasinova (6) At her best would be very competitive here. Can run a place with luck in running

Race 4

Third Time (4) Rise in grade should not worry him. Will be winning more races and suited here
Ohoka Achilles (3) Racing well and drawn to lead early. Top three chance at longer odds
Sharkies Girl (5) Building up a good run of form. Likely to go forward early and not the worst

Race 5

Dream Of You (3) Keeps getting stronger and good win in a similar field last start. Can win again
Invictus (6) Distance stats are very good and if he steps quickly will be a threat in this. Include
With Ice (10) Looked good winning here last start. This is harder but not out of it. Put in exotics

Race 6

Montana D J (5) Will be fitter for this. Unknown over the stand but stable should have him ready
Magic Four (1) First stand and needs manners but can place if he can step away quickly.
New York Minute (6) Has run some good times over this trip on the track. Off 20m but has claims

Race 7

Billy The Kid (4) Good in age group recently and this looks easier. One of the better chances
Red Rackham (9) Better than the form suggests. Could surprise with a good run in transit. Include
Benson Dude (2) Tidy draw and looks stronger this time in. Will be there at the finish. Needed

Race 8

Emily Bay (2) Stable has been in good form recently. Could be over the odds fresh up.
Aldebaran Pippi (11) Nice win last start. Can surprise with a good run in transit. Go again
Five O’Clock Gerry (8) Tricky handicap but normally steps ok. Will be running on at the finish

Race 9

Park Lane (2) Tough run fresh and drawn much better. Will be improved for this. Needed here
Jeremiah (5) First of the NZ Lazarus progeny to hit the tracks. Working ok and has to be respected
Brookside Girl (8) Tricky draw but has the motor. Will be running on. One for longer odds
