Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:12pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Ya Eejit Ya (1) Very good at trials and small field will help. Big chance on debut
Sharp Image (4) Has experience and has been freshened. One for longer odds in this
Hillbilly (5) Manners the key but has a decent motor. Win chance with no mistakes

Race 2

Dear God (2) Just run down here last start. Quick beginner who might lead again. Needed
Clouding Over (1) Well drawn and has the speed to be one of the better chances. Include
Frisco Bay (4) Freshened and has a reputation. Likely improver who can go close here

Race 3

Always Be Mattie (3) Nice placing on debut and a good chance freshened up. Can win
The Jolly Roger (7) Wide draw but racing well. Stable in good form and can run top three
Ragnar Lothbrok (5) Looked slightly unlucky last start. Big odds available. Rough chance

Race 4

Semba (3) Well drawn and he will stick on ok with a good trip. Chance at longer odds
Hawkeye Pierce (8) At his best would go close to winning. Good driver back on. Needed
Seaclusion (6) Running on last start and has gate speed. Strong field but has claims

Race 5

Music Mistress (9) Inside draw may not suit but the motor is there. Can win with gaps
Im Sandra Dee (1) Has raced well against better fields. Needed here from the ace draw
Always B Misty (12) Huge win last start. This is harder but can run top three. Include

Race 6

Ilsas Son (7) Last start second was good and stable has to be respected. Top three chance
Lord Popinjay (6) Good beginner. Strong field but winning claims if fully fit for this
Voronov (9) Tricky handicap for this. Will need luck but not the worst with a good trip.

Race 7

Better Knuckle Up (5) Can run time and could be the race leader. Well suited here. Needed
Hooray Henry (2) Battled on well last start Can run top three with a good run in transit
Twista (3) Needs a good trip to show his best. Will be running on late and could surprise

Race 8

Cyren Shard (3) Ok run last start and weaker here. Win hope with luck in running. Needed
Bet West (6) Begins well and down in class here. Might go forward early. Winning claims
Kourtney Kardash (7) Better than the form suggests. Wide draw the only concern. Include

Race 9

Viscount Mackendon (2) Freshened but good enough to win with manners early. Top three
Aradne (7) Decent motor and a chance from the 30m handicap. One of the better horses
Boss Jo (4) Ok  run last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again here
