Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:54pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R1   Benjamin Button

Race 1

Benjamin Button (1) Racing better than the form suggests and downgrade here. Top selection
Peter Forsberg (5) One paced battler better out in front and rolling. Will take some running down
Riverboy Ben (3) Has been battling but weaker field and has claims. Not the worst in this

Race 2

Leo Lincoln (5) Racing well and drawn to take advantage early. Top selection here
Major Jay (10) Has good ability and getting fitter with racing. Can improve quickly
Little Hoofananny (1) Draw suits and can run a tidy last 800m. Top three chance here

Race 3

Matty A (5) Looked a run short last start but will improve quickly. Good winning claims here
Eye Love You (9) Driver change for this and she has been running on. Needed
Majestic Bundy (10) Manners the key. Tricky handicap but good enough to win with no mistakes

Race 4

Duchess Megxit (4) Mobile and sprint trip suit. Should go close to winning this. Top pick
Kourtney Kardash (3) Nice draw and running ok against similar fields. Might go forward early
Clouding Over (1) Has been unlucky and draws well for this. One for longer odds here

Race 5

Kiwitrix (6) Has been breaking but better than form suggests. Can win with complete manners
Conrad H (3) Racing ok at workouts and likely to race handy. Has to be respected here
Luby Lill (5) Better for last start third and small field will help. One of the major chances

Race 6

Magic Four (6) Ran home well last start and might land closer to the front here. Include
Simply Sam (4) Running on in all of his races. Needs to get handy early but can go close
Miki Shan (1) Draw suits and he only needs a quick beginning and a soft trip to be a threat

Race 7

Diamonds Are Forever (4) Good second last start and looks a major player in this. Top selection
Hesashorething (5) Disappointing last start and should improve. Gate speed to get handy
Hail Lucius (6) Has a good finishing sprint with the right run in transit. Wide draw but go again

Race 8

Lou Baby (2) Draw helps and due to show form again. Can get into the placings in this
Two Eye See (1) Big upgrade in draws and weaker field here. Looks a good top three chance
Escape Artist (3) Good form and likes to race handy. Chance if he goes forward early

Race 9

All Cashed Up (6) Has been getting back. Needs to be put in the race to be a major chance in this
Lovemeto (3) Back from Aussie trip. Has to be a great chance if fit and ready. Include
American Muscle (4) Another nice win last start and likes to race handy. Should be thereabouts
