Harness racing hits Auckland again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 4:25pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Monarch Hill (4) Freshened but might be too good for them with no mistakes here
Gaz Man (8) Good beginner who is likely to head forward and drop in class. Top three chance
That’s What We Do (9) Hasn’t had all the luck but getting fitter. Could fill a top three spot

Race 2

Sunshine Shelby (2) Likely to head forward early. Can run top three in this. Include
Gladys Greenland (3) Draw suits and will race handy. Hard to beat if she leads in this
Clouding Over (6) Recent runs have been unlucky. One for longer odds with luck

Race 3

Dom Toretto (6) Conditions suit here ands mall field helps. Should run top three in this
Delightful Reality (5) Has not had all the luck but has the motor to win with a soft run in transit.
The Artful Gambler (2) A bit one paced but draw suits. Ability to run a place in this

Race 4

Throwyaarmsaroundme (5) On his recent form looks a solid winning chance. Conditions suit
Frankie Major (6) Quick beginner who might lead early. Has to be respected in this field
D J Rock (8) Terrible draw but racing ok. Could surprise here if he gets handy mid race

Race 5

Twista (1) Best draw he has had and will be fitter. Looks one of the better chances in this field
Kashkeeper (4) Raced well on debut for a bold third. Could be over the odds and needed here
Christopher Dance (6) Freshened for this but has a big motor. Include from the wide draw

Race 6

Bet N Win (17) Manners not great but looks a major player in this. Can win with no mistakes
Bangkok Betty (12) Racing ok in similar fields. One for longer odds with the right trip
The River Boy (5) Beat a weaker field easily last start. Big chance if he finds the front

Race 7

Akuta (8) Best form in the field and should run first or second. One of the best chances in this
Don’t Stop Dreaming (5) Up in class but will not disappoint. Should step and race handy to the speed.
Old Town Road (6) Has form against the best. Can step quickly and has winning claims with luck

Race 8

Resolve (5) On her recent race efforts she looks hard to hold out in this. Top selection
Con Grazia Love (2) Will be improved for this. Needs the right trip but has claims
All Cashed Up (6) Going well in similar fields and small field suits. Will not be far away
