Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 6:04pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Dalness First (5) Raced well down south and can handle this field fresh. Winning claims
Wheres The Gold (4) Can’t ignore the consistent formline. Hard to beat here
Aiming For Glory (1) Drawn to get a soft run on the pegs. Looks stronger this campaign

Race 2

Ultimate Missile (4) Better for the fresh up run and better draw. Can improve
Ohoka Creed (1) Easy win last start and no reason he can not go on with it here
Mo Szyslak (7) Strong field here but good third last start. Can trouble the favourites

Race 3

Wishing Star (1) Big run after a gallop last start. Hard to beat here with manners
Mont Blanc (9) Ran ok last start and building a good form line. Decent place hopes here
Aldebaran Allblack (6) Stable have a good record with trotters. Could surprise

Race 4

First Choice Arden (2) Better draw to work with here and has ability. Hard to beat
Hugo Maguire (12) Coming in fresh and ran some good races last campaign. Could surprise
Benson Dude (8) Tricky draw but not the worst here. Chance if he goes forward early

Race 5

Aldebaran Keepa (10) Freshened after a nice win last start. Only needs luck to be right in it
One Thirtythree (9) Tidy win last start and this field no stronger. Can win again
The Governator (7) Might be the leader at some point. Chance if he stays trotting.

Race 6

Chimichurri (5) Has been consistent and this race suits again. Top selection
Wild Card (7) Will be better for the last start third and will be running on.
Mr Chip (2) Good beginner who might find the trail early. Place chance here

Race 7

Liaison (4) Going for four in a row. Good chance if he can find the front
Aardiebythehill (3) Will be improved and gets a head start on the favourites. Needed
Kings Landing (6) Ok last start and consistent. Place chances again here

Race 8

John Wayne (3) Might be close to the speed here. Driver comes a long way for the steer
Private Eye (5) Ok last start and has gate speed. Chance with a good run in transit
Ohoka Achilles (8) Small field will help and he could surprise at longer odds in this

Race 9

Drum N Bass (3) Racing well and good draw this week. Good winning chance
Share The Love (1) Manners a concern but drawn to trail. One for longer odds
Keystone Comet (2) In good form and weaker field here. Should run top three
