Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:44pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

A Trophy Wife (10) Ok for third last start. Consistent and one of the main chances in this
Patrick Swayze (7) Drops in grade and only needs manners to feature here. at longer odds
Wishing Star (2) Races ok here and a chance if he brings his best form. Needed

Race 2

Norvic Charlie (7) Solid form and weaker field brings him into contention. Hard to beat
Robin Hood (1) Should get a cosy run on the fence. Can run top three in this field
Xcite Me (3) Strike rate trainer and trial form is good. One of the major players here

Race 3

High Step (2) Well bred and from a stable that produces them well fresh. Can win
The Moonstone (4) Building up some winning form and hard to beat again in this
Lovemeagain (3) Better than last start failure and should improve. Top three chance

Race 4

Kiwitrix (1) Unlucky last start in a similar field. One of the better chances with manners
That’s What We Do (7) Up in grade but good enough to overcome it. Winning claims again
Con Grazia Love (8) Better suited here after getting back last start. Can run top three 

Race 5

Mr President (1) Good draw and will be hard to beat if the pace is on. Needed
Neptune (7) Wide draw but is tough. Can upset at nice odds if he goes forward early.
The Postman (4) Better than the form reads and drawn well. Can surprise in this

Race 6

High Energy (8) Unbeaten and hard to see her not winning this. Top selection
The Ivy League (7) Better run last start and can threaten the favourite. Include
Kiss And Run (4) Ok last start and has gate speed. One of the major players in this

Race 7

Millwood Nike (6) Unbeaten filly who should be too good for this field.
Fortify (5) Coming in off the back of a good second last start. Can run top three
Mon Lancome (2) Drawn well and ok last start. Running for place money only

Race 8

Ideal Dream (2) Got the win last start but this is harder. Can win again with luck
Venturesome Arden (5) Tidy draw and likely to lead again here. Can double up
Bugalugs (7) Tricky draw hurts but unlucky last last. Top three chance at longer odds

Race 9

Aardie’s Peak (8) Going well at trails and looks the top selection in this. Include
The Fiery Countess (3) Has grown a leg since coming north. Hard to beat with manners
Aldebaran Pippi (2) Has raced well on course in the past. Needs manners but can feature
