Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 6:05pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R4    Midfrew Lucre

Race 1

Miki Shan (6) Has been racing better fields in age group racing. Top selection in this field
Blazing Louie (7) Racing well and could push forward from the start. Winning claims
Ultimate Missile (5) Consistent form and always a chance. Needs luck but can run top three

Race 2

The Beaudster (8) Tricky draw but racing like a win is close at hand. Hard to beat in this race
No Added Sugar (7) Has been a bit disappointing but can bounce back here. One of the better chances
Flying Colours (4) Has placed the last couple of runs. On the way up and can run top three again

Race 3

Eye Love You (11) Impressive run for second last start and liked by the trainer. Hard to beat with manners
Emily Bay (8) Has been eye catching in some of her placings. Winning claims with the right trip
Quik Sharnie (4) Conditions suit and she could be over the odds. Top three placing beckons again

Race 4

Midfrew Lucre (5) Coming in fresh but races well here. Capable of beating this field at his best
Hesashorething (7) Wide draw but has gate speed. Chance at longer odds with a good run in transit
Manny (3) Nice draw and racing well. Will be handy early and is one of the better chances in this

Race 5

Aldebaran Flame (9) Good recent form and smaller field will help. One of the major players
KD Royalty (3) Was big the first two runs in her campaign. No recent luck but can bounce back.
Ruby Ridge (5) Is getting fitter and building some good form. Will be there about in this

Race 6

Nicholas Cage (6) Underrated pacer who keeps getting better. Hard to beat again here
Jack Tar (2) Has been disappointing but draw suits and he can run a nice race in the right mood
Themighty Miki (3) Likely to get a good run handy. Track suits and he can go close to winning

Race 7

Double Delight (1) Decent draw and a big improver. One of the major players in this field
Invictus (9) Has run some good races against stronger fields. Chance here with a swift beginning
I See Fire (4) Beat a similar field last start but manners a concern. Goes close with no mistakes

Race 8

Two Eye See (2) Has been disappointing but well drawn and due to show some form. Include
Jack The Builder (7) Placed fresh up and should be improved. Will start a short priced favourite
Diamond Mounted (1) Racing ok and drawn for a cozy run on the pegs. Can run a cheeky race 

Race 9

Faith In Manchester (3) Ran a good second last start and draw suits. One of the better chances
Alana (1) Gets a nice draw to work with and weaker field. Could surprise at longer odds
Asteria Lavra (5) Manners can sometimes trip her up. Good chance with no mistakes early
